Safe and sound

Everyone unsuspecting, A regular winter day. I went to get my snow boots, but there was someone in my way. I looked up from head to toe, just to see my brother dressed in camo. When I saw him my bones shook, My knees trembled, And I cried. My mom looked like she was looking at a ghost, she was probably the one surprised the most. My sister came down the stairs, as she would any day. She screamed and cried. Just like me. She went to hug him, and kiss his face. And he picked her up with grace and I could tell by his smile which I hadn't seen for a while, He was glad to be home. Safe and sound.
