Moving at the Right Pace
My daughter really struggled in 2nd grade, so I brought her home to see what the problem was and help her succeed. We found that she learned the concepts quickly and was bored with all the repetition. Sometimes she would even zone out and miss the entire next lesson, not realizing that they had finished and moved on. With K12, we were able to make better use of our time. We cover the lessons and move on once she grasps the concepts - skipping much of the repetition (especially in Math and Language Arts). We are also able to spend more time in difficult concepts (such as Science) and even more time in areas of interest (such as Art and Music). She has been with K12 for 2 years now, and has excelled! She's ready to try public school again, but we are more than willing to return with K12 if things don't work out.
