Because it has made me LOVE learning.
I get a rush of excitement every time I begin a new unit in my courses. The K12 curriculum is enriching and interesting. I honestly LOVE learning. I liked it in regular school too, but not nearly as much as I do now. I get to completely immerse myself in the subjects and gone are the days when people would say, "Stop! You're moving ahead of the class!" because I can go at MY pace and learn as much as I want. If I'm looking for a way to relax, I'll log on and do some schoolwork. It's that much FUN. I honestly love K12... Trust a senior who's been to private, public, and religious brick and mortar schools. I can honestly say K12 is the best! It has brought back a love of learning in me that I somehow lost. Thank you K12.
Also: I am National Merit Commended Scholar. I have received letters asking me to apply from Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, and the University of Chicago, just to name a few. This is because K12 gave me the flexibility to spend a few days studying rigorously right before the PSATs. When I showed up that Saturday, the knowledge was fresh on my mind - and I was well rested. My teachers had been encouraging me and preparing me for weeks in advance. Other students were unprepared and tired. My parents and I both agree that K12 gives students an extreme advantage when it comes to standardized tests.
You get out of K12 what you put into it. No one is going to do the work for you. But the curriculum is there - and it is top notch - just waiting to be learned. If you apply yourself in your online classes I guarantee you anything is possible. K12 gives each student the opportunities to fully apply him or herself and make the most out of his or her educational experience.
