Fat, ugly, stupid, worthless, awkward, anorexic, useless, emo, goth, waste of space, shouldn't be alive. A lot of us have heard these words. Someone might have called you these names, you could have called someone else these names, or you might have over heard someone being called these names. No matter what, it is wrong. Hi, I'm Bethany. I am thirteen years old, and I stand completely against bullying. Bullying is one of the worst things that are in society today. People don't realize that words HURT. There are kids and teenagers out there who are bullied so much, that they start to believe what people say to them. So do you know what they do? They turn to hurting themselves. I'm not going to go into too much detail, because I don't want to create any new ideas... but there are kids and teenagers out there struggling with self harm, anorexia, depression, and anxiety just because some person decided it would be funny to tease them that day. Some people get to the point where they just don't want to be alive anymore. They feel like the pain is just too much for them to take and everyone would be better off if they were dead. Victims of bullying tear themselves more and more every day without even realizing that they're slowly wilting away. Many of you have seen others being bullied but have done nothing about it. DO SOMETHING! Tell an adult! Don't be scared. Who knows? You could actually be saving someone's life. If you are a current victim of bullying, I want to tell you this: Stay strong. Do not stop fighting. You were put on this earth for a reason. You are not worthless, fat, ugly, stupid, or any of that other stuff they say. Those people saying hurtful things to you? They're just trying to steal your attention. Don't give it to them. Show them that you are not the weaker vessel. If they see how strong you are, they'll back off. Don't give up! You are so much stronger than you think, and I know you can do this. I believe in you. I hope that I have inspired people to keep fighting, or start fighting, against bullies and their words. Never, ever, give up! You are strong and courageous! You are beautiful and handsome. You are worth something! Never forget to smile, because that's your best feature. :)
