Threatening skies of shades of gray

Informed us to the end of the nice day

The birds know what is to come

As they fly around in pandemonium

A sudden change to the breeze

Makes the trees shed their leaves

The lightning lights up the night sky

Like a million fireflies

The thunder rumbled like a train

Through the stormy evening rain

As I lay down and close my eyes

I think about the stormy skies

In a beautiful yet frightening way

This is a perfect end to the perfect day.
