Threatening skies of shades of grayInformed us to the end of the nice dayThe birds know what is to comeAs they fly around in pandemonium A sudden change to the breeze Makes the trees shed their leaves The lightning lights up the night sky Like a million firefliesThe thunder rumbled like a trainThrough the stormy evening rain As I lay down and close my eyesI think about the stormy skiesIn a beautiful yet frightening wayThis is a perfect end to the perfect day.
