I celebrate (my) culture by accepting who I am! My bouncy tight curls and lovely sun-kissed caramel skin! Hair that can go from straight to "zig zag" on my demand. My eyes as dark as the nighttime sky. My hands that can whip up a good southern meal from my mom's recipe book which is always by my side. :)The drawing is supposed to be Maya Angelou. I tried jajaja~"For culture won't free you, The struggle we have to make lies in reclaiming what is rightfully ours."I know why the caged bird sings, ah me,When his wing is bruised and his bosom sore,—When he beats his bars and he would be free;It is not a carol of joy or glee,But a prayer that he sends from his heart's deep core, But a plea, that upward to Heaven he flings—I know why the caged bird sings!-Maya Angelou, “Caged Bird”
