11 years ago this year, I started my online schooling at Idaho Virtual Academy provided by K12. When my mother first started educating me, I was only 7 years old and new to the program… Although I had diminutive communication with kids my own age, I would get up early every day and be so inspired to do my homework because of my remarkable teachers and their provision to my education. Now, 18 years old and graduating this summer from IDVA, I reflect back on the impression my teachers and fellow students had on me. With the diverse selections of courses to choose from, to making sure my grades are where they should be, my teachers and counselors have always helped guide me into making the precise choices for my future. I have always been involved in IDVA and in my sophomore year of HS, I started my first semester as a Student Ambassador to mentor students on how to be successful, and to this current day I am still doing what I love. Helping my fellow students has always been a significant goal of mine and I strive to make sure they have the ultimate involvement in the program as I did. K12 has given me the knowledge and power to fulfill my dreams and goals to be who I want to be. With that behind me, I plan to attend Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington to become a Registered Nurse this fall, and optimistically, a Nurse practitioner in the future. By doing so, I can continue to help those around me and show them the compassion I was shown. Without K12, I wouldn't be where I am today… pursing my goals. Any chance I get, I refer everyone to this amazing program and can never stop telling of the choices it has given me. To anyone looking to further your education the veracious way, enroll in K12, you will never regret the chances it brings to you, to be whom you want to be in life. Set forth and don’t look back. :)
