Flower Power

2015 Art Contest
While learning about the different decades through the centuries I really liked the 1960's because of all the bright colors in the artwork and clothing. I also appreciated the movement of love and peace during a time of war that occurred. All the bright flowery colors in the fabrics and artwork made me feel happy, so I wanted to create something that makes people happy too! I thought the tie dye technique was beautiful, so I watched a video on how to do it on canvas with markers and rubbing alcohol. Then I cut pieces of fabric I picked out that reminded me of the time period in the shape of 1960 and glued them on along with 3D foam stickers. I think it turned out great and I hope you enjoy it too!
